The Washington Guaranteed Admissions Program (WAGAP) supports a college-going culture and guaranteed admission to Central Washington University, Eastern Washington University, The Evergreen State College, University of Washington Tacoma, Washington State University and Western Washington University. Together, and in partnership with our communities, we are committed to meeting the college and career goals of Washington students to increase access and credential completion in Washington through WAGAP.
The program lets students learn if they are admitted to these six universities before applying. If these simple criteria are met, students are guaranteed admissions:
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Completed or on track to complete all the College Academic Distribution Requirements (CADRs) by the fall term immediately following high school graduation.
- School has an agreement with the participating universities to be part of the program.

Resources for Counselors and Schools/Districts
The Washington Guaranteed Admissions Program (WAGAP) allows Washington school districts and schools (WAGAP partners) to share student data with participating Washington public universities so that universities can guarantee admission to students before they complete an application for admission. The program is focused on increasing awareness and access in Washington by letting students know they’ll have a home at a university in Washington.
WAGAP is focused on students in the 11th and 12th grades. Through data-sharing partnerships with WAGAP partners, the participating universities engage with high school juniors to ready them for college, familiarize them with university admissions processes, and encourage eligible high school seniors to apply through guaranteed admissions.
