During each session of the Washington State Legislature COP staff closely work with our presidents, legislative directors, and other campus leaders to present before legislative committees, testify on proposed legislation, meet with policymakers and their staff, and respond to legislative inquiries. In addition, we work in the months leading up to session – often with our educational partners and others – on the development of proactive messaging and participate in the implementation of enacted legislation, including preparing formal written reports and responses to legislative inquiries and directives.
